Three Fates Textiles
A tribute to the classical world, where myth and material meet.
Three Fates Textiles is a New York-based textile and wallcovering company founded by Sarah Lederman Interiors, rooted in a deep reverence for classical history, material craft, and the quiet poetry of old things. Inspired by Greek and Roman antiquity — from faded frescoes to enduring iconography — the brand reimagines the past through a contemporary lens, creating textiles designed to be lived with and layered into modern spaces. Holiday partnered with Three Fates to develop a complete brand package that balances romance and restraint, weaving mythology, typography, color, and art direction into an immersive visual world. The result is a timeless, story-driven system that reflects the brand’s belief in craft, meaning, and rooms with soul.

During our research phase, we looked to historical depictions of the sisters in the New York Public Library and The Met’s collections for references. We composited sculptures and illustrations, studying how the figures interacted with one another and how we could bring them to life in our own way. Our version of the sisters became the brand’s emblem — a custom-illustrated scene showing the Three Fates dancing together, holding a single thread.
A tale as old as time. In Greek mythology, the Three Fates, or Moirai, are the personifications of destiny. Clotho spun the thread of life, Lachesis measured, and Atropos cut it, determining each person’s life path.
Since their first literary depiction in the Theogony, written around 700 BCE, the three sisters have left their mark in the cultural and artistic archives. During our research phase, we visited the New York Public Library and The Met to explore the different iterations of the Moirai across mediums.
During those visits, we also took note of the ancient Greek amphoras. We were inspired by the black-figure pottery, pulling from its classical iconography to create a custom icon suite for the brand, shown below.

The brand’s maiden collection, The Fortune Isles, brings eight Greek- and Roman-inspired motifs to life through wallpapers and textiles. For Manhattan-based interior designer and founder Sarah Lederman, it marks a return to her roots in textile design.
With such tactile product, we wanted Three Fates’ digital presence to feel equally rich and layered as the physical experience. We designed a custom website that allows the collection to take center stage, while speaking to the brand’s larger world.
“Working with Kiana was one of the most rewarding collaborations I’ve had as a creative. She has an extraordinary ability to translate ideas that exist only in your head into something even more thoughtful, refined, and authentic than you imagined possible.
Three Fates simply wouldn’t be what it is without her. From our visual identity and website to the countless strategic decisions behind the scenes, she exceeded my expectations at every turn. She approached every detail with remarkable care, extensive research, impeccable taste, and an intuitive understanding of both my vision and the business I was building.
Beyond her immense talent, Kiana is collaborative, endlessly generous with her ideas, and an absolute joy to work with. She has become a trusted creative partner and a genuine friend, and I can’t recommend her and Holiday Studio highly enough.”
